After boarding our coach we travel to Portsmouth for the short ferry crossing to Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight. From Fishbourne we make our way to Ryde for our 4 night stay at The Royal Esplanade Hotel.
The first stop on our excursion today is Gods hill Village with it’s charming thatched cottages , model village, gift shops and tea rooms. Then on to Brightstone. This Lively, interesting village has shops, cafes, an 800 year old church, well worth a visit, and a village library. Our last stop today is Alum bay, famous for it’s multi coloured sand cliffs and breath taking views over the Needles and lighthouse.
A day “at leisure” in Ryde. Ryde has a vast sandy beach perfect for a relaxing day. It also has well established shopping streets with well known brands.
This morning we are visiting Osborne house, Queen Victoria’s island retreat designed by her beloved Prince Albert. Highlights include the lavishly furnished state rooms and the glorious ground and gardens.
From Osborne house we make our way to Haven street for a trip on the award winning Isle of Wight Steam Railway, a journey that will take you back in time.
Leaving this morning we board the ferry for our return crossing and the homeward coach travel.
