Dawlish - The Cream Of Devon

Monday

Following a morning departure we travel through the West Country into Devon and on to the coastal resort of Dawlish. Here we spend four nights at the Langstone Cliff Hotel.

Tuesday

Today we travel the short distance to Powderham Castle. The castle lies in a beautiful deer park on the banks of the River Exe.. Here we have a guided tour of the castle including the state rooms and the upstairs. Powderham has been the private home of the Courtney family and their staff for over 600 years. We can also see the grounds and gardens and enjoy a cream tea.

Wednesday

This morning we travel to Exmouth where we can enjoy a relaxing cruise on the River Exe and also have some leisure time in this popular coastal resort.

Thursday

Our excursion today is to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens,with over 64 acres to explore. This includes the Palm House, Tropical House, Arid House and the Temperate House. The cafe overlooks the Italian Garden. There is also an Arboretum. We have included a ride on the Bicton Woodland Railway and we also can enjoy a cream tea (included).

Friday

This morning we leave our hotel and commence the homeward journey. Making the usual comfort stops we arrive during the afternoon.
