Safety standards and drivers you can rely on
A safe trip depends on work passengers never see. Operators must keep strict safety standards and regular vehicle inspections, and the importance of getting that right grows with every passenger on board.
Maintenance at Grindles happens in-house, in a purpose-built workshop, to DVSA standards. Each vehicle is safety inspected every six weeks, including a roller brake test, and coaches are equipped with three-point seatbelts, CCTV and GPS tracking.
Drivers are enhanced DBS checked against the Adults and Children Barred Lists, subject to random alcohol and drug testing, and take routine eyesight checks and medicals alongside ongoing CPC training. With a school group or a vulnerable passenger on board, those checks count.
City trips are covered as well, with 11 of our 12 coaches Euro 6 and ULEZ, CAZ and LEZ compliant for places like London, Bath and Bristol. All vehicles are fully insured and driven by smartly uniformed professionals with experience across the UK and Europe.
