WARNERS SPRING BREAK
Staying at Thoresby Hall Historic Hotel & Spa, Nottinghamshire
Monday 20th – Friday 24th April 2009
5 Days

Day 1
Following a morning departure we travel to Thoresby Hall, making the usual refreshment shops en-route. We arrive at our hotel during the afternoon. Thoresby Hall is a majestic 18th century house set in rolling parklands next to Sherwood Forest and boasts all the facilities and entertainment you expect of the Warner’s group.

Day 2
Today we travel the short distance to the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre, here you can learn all about the life and times of Robin Hood, you can also wander down to “The Great Oak”, the tree where reputedly Robin and his band of merry men hid from the “evil Sheriff of Nottingham”. We arrive back at Thoresby Hall during the afternoon so you have time to make the most of the facilities on offer including heated indoor pool, bubble pool, sauna, steam room, gym, snooker & games room, or stroll around the grounds where you will find a Victorian Rose Garden, bowls green, croquet, putting green or just enjoy a coffee in the Grand Hall and admire the grandeur of the library.

Day 3
Today we travel into the city of Lincoln. Home to one of Europe’s most beautiful cathedrals, Lincoln Cathedral is steeped in history; it is one of the greatest examples of medieval gothic design. Also in the shadow of the cathedral is the Bishop’s Palace and Contemporary Heritage Garden. Lincoln is a very vibrant city with plenty to offer any visitor.

Day 4
This morning we have an excursion to Chatsworth House, home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Chatsworth is one of the treasure houses of Britain set in the magnificent landscape of Derbyshire’s Peak District national park, and is seen in the film Pride and Prejudice. Offering something for everyone to enjoy, from famous works of art and the spectacular fountains in the garden to the finest shopping, food and drink and many miles of free walks.
