Day 1
Following a morning departure we travel northwards to Yorkshire and the seaside resort of Scarborough. Here we spend 6 nights at the Ambassador Hotel.

Day 2
Today we have at leisure in the resort of Scarborough, which is one of the largest and most popular resorts in the North East. It is splendidly situated on two sandy bays surrounded by cliffs that are covered with delightful gardens, make a visit to the old ruined castle with it’s breathtaking views of the coastline or simply enjoy the fresh sea air.

Day 3
Today we have a day through the North Yorkshire Moors to the pretty town of Pickering with it’s splendid Norman castle from here we continue across the moors to the village of Goathland, setting for the popular TV. series Heartbeat, from here we continue to Whitby, here we can explore the charming little streets and fishermen’s cottages.

Day 4
Today we travel to the beautiful medieval city of York, 2000 years of history in one compact city. With a great deal to offer from the National Railway Museum, the Yorvik Viking Centre, the magnificent Minster, York Castle Museum, and over 30 other museums as well as great shopping.

Day 5
Today we travel along the coast to the popular resort of Filey, with its fine promenade and well-kept gardens. The old village has quaint narrow streets and houses dating back to 17th century. We continue to Bridlington, passing Flamborough Head with its 400 foot cliffs where the Yorkshire Wolds meets the sea. We return through the Yorkshire Wolds.

Day 6  
Today we have at leisure.

Day 7
After breakfast we leave Scarborough for the homeward journey, arriving home during the afternoon.
