PEMBROKESHIRE COAST Staying at the Fishguard Bay Hotel Monday 9th – Friday 13th June 2008 5 Days
Day 1 Following a morning departure we travel to West Wales making a lunch stop in the market town of Carmarthen, during the afternoon we continue into Pembrokeshire and onto the Fishguard Bay Hotel where we spend 4 nights. The hotel is a splendid Victorian Hotel nestling into cliffs overlooking the scenic Fishguard Bay. Day 2 Today we have a tour to the little “city” of St David’s and some of the many local craft centres. Day 3 Today we make a morning excursion to the market town of Haverfordwest, the afternoon is spent in and around Fishguard with a chance to enjoy some of the wonderful coastal scenery forming the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Day 4 A day to the lovely seaside resort of Tenby with its rich sandy beaches and shops. There also maybe chance of an optional boat ride to Caldey Island, inhabited for centuries by Cistercian monks. Day 5 Today we leave this lovely area and make our way homeward; our journey takes us via the Brecon Beacons National Park, making the usual refreshment stops en-route arriving home during the late afternoon.
