IRELAND (THE WEST COAST)
Staying at the Allingham Arms Hotel, Bundoran
Sunday 17th – Saturday 23rd August 2008

Day 1
Following a morning departure we travel through the Midlands into Cheshire and on passing the lovely city of Chester, we continue onto Holyhead, where we board the ferry for the afternoon crossing to Dublin, on arrival we rejoin our coach and travel to the outskirts of the city and our first night at the Spa Hotel, Lucan.

Day 2
This morning we make our way into Dublin where a local guide will take us on a tour of the city, later in the morning we leave Dublin and make our way to the West Coast passing Navan, Kells, Cavan, Belturbet and Enniskillen to the coastal town of Bundoran, here we spend five nights at the Allingham Arms Hotel, named after the poet William Allingham, the hotel overlooks Donegal Bay.

Day 3
Today we visit the county town of Donegal, firstly to Donegal Porcelain China and then into the town itself for sightseeing or shopping, Donegal Craft Village gives you the opportunity to see the crafts people at work, later we visit the fishing town of Killybegs on the coast and then continue on the moorland roads to the craft towns of Adare and Glenties and return through the Blue Stack mountains.

Day 4
Today we have a free day to relax and unwind and enjoy this lovely area.

Day 5
After breakfast we board our coach and travel to Letterkenny, once a small fishing village it is now the principle town of Donegal, located at the mouth of Lough Swilly, later we take a scenic drive through the Glenveagh National Park which covers 40,873 acres of mountains, lakes, glens and woods.

Day 6
Today we leave Bundoran for the journey towards Dublin, we travel via Sligo, Boyle, Longford and Mullingar with the usual refreshment stops en-route and onto Lucan where we spend our last night at the Spa Hotel.

Day 7
An earlier start today for the short journey to Dublin Harbour, here we board the ferry for the return crossing to Holyhead, on arrival we rejoin our coach for the journey through North Wales, the Midlands and on towards home, arriving during the early evening.
