Day 1
Following an early morning departure we travel to Dover where we board the ferry for the short sea crossing to Calais, on arrival we rejoin our coach and travel through France to Belgium and on into Germany where we spend the night at the Buschhausen Hotel, Aachen.

Day 2
After breakfast we leave Aachen and travel through Germany to Kufstein, just across the border in Austria, where we spend the night at the Andreas Hofer Hotel.

Day 3
This morning we travel on into Croatia and to Opatija where we spend 5 nights at the Grand Hotel. Situated in the centre of Opatija, the promenade lies directly in front of the 4* hotel, providing easy access to the town. The public areas offer spectacular views across the gulf. The hotel also has its own swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

Day 4
Today we have at leisure in Opatija, enjoy a relaxing stroll across the promenade or the Park “Angiolina”, situated directly in front of the hotel, you could visit one of the numerous chic shops on the main street or just sit at one of the many bars and enjoy the view.

Day 5
Today we travel along the coast and Vratnik Pass into the Lika region before visiting the beautiful Plitvice National Park, with it’s spectacular waterfalls and unspoilt scenery, this day out has wonderful views and shows the beautiful Croatian interior that many visitors do not get to see.

Day 6
Today we travel along southern part of the Istrian peninsular to Pula with stops at Rovinj and Porec along the way. Visit the world famous basilica in Rovinj and the Roman amphitheatre before returning through the central part of Istria well known for its medieval towns.

Day 7
Today we have an optional excursion to Postonja Caves and Predjama Castle over the border in Slovenia. The caves are the largest in the Karst region, it is a kingdom of stalactites and stalagmites set in 20 km of vast cave systems. A special train takes you on a journey around these mysterious and fascinating caves.

Day 8
Today we leave Croatia and travel to Kufstein for our overnight at the Andreas Hofer Hotel.

Day 9
After we breakfast leave Kufstein and travel through Germany for our final night at the Buschhausen Hotel, Aachen.

Day 10
Today we leave Aachen and travel back through Belgium and into France to Calais for our return ferry crossing to Dover, where we rejoin our coach for our homeward journey, arriving during the early evening.
