Day 1
Following an early start we travel to Dover where we board the ferry for the sea crossing to Calais, on arrival we rejoin our coach and continue through Northern France to the city of Reims, here we spend the night at the Quality Hotel.

Day 2
After breakfast we leave our hotel, the journey takes us towards the city of Nancy and on through the Alsace region, we cross the Swiss border at Basel and from here we continue on passing the capital Bern, and onto the pretty hillside town of Meiringen. The town is the main tourist centre of the Haslital Valley. Here we spend 4 nights at the Sherlock Holmes Hotel.

Day 3 (Christmas Eve)
Today we board the coach for an excursion to the popular resort of Interlaken, set between the sparkling waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Interlaken enjoys a magnificient setting on the banks of the River Aare, the town is one of Switzerland’s longest established holiday resorts. During the evening why not join us for a walk by candlelight with mulled wine and gingerbread.

Day 4 (Christmas Day)
Today we have at leisure. Maybe a nice walk around the town before we have our lunch. During the afternoon please join us for a game of bingo and tea or coffee with Christmas Cake.

Day 5
Today for those that are interested we can make an optional cable car ride into the snow-capped mountains where there is a nice self service restaurant and gift shop. There are spectacular views of the surrounding area from here. Later we have a traditional Swiss folklore evening and fondue dinner.

Day 6
Today we leave Meiringen, and commence the homeward journey, travelling via Basel into France and onto Reims where we spend the last night of our festive holiday at the Mercure Hotel.

Day 7
We leave Reims and make our way to Calais where we board the ferry for the return crossing to Dover, on arrival we rejoin our coach for the journey home, arriving early evening.
